Science
1. Identify a unique and rare animal that lives in the United States. What are its characteristics? What is its’ habitat? Describe it’s food web/food chain. You can make a PowerPoint or poster to share with the other students in class. Use the rubric for oral presentations (supplied by your teacher) when presenting.
2. Using the scientific method provided to you in your science textbook, demonstrate an experiment you completed at home. Take pictures or bring in evidence to share with your class. Check with your teacher for any science experiment books he/she might have for you to borrow.
Social Studies
1. Identify a California Explorer. What was his main journey? Why was he traveling? What method of transportation did he and his crew use? Identify the problems that arose during his journey. What were some barriers he encountered? Create a poster or PowerPoint to show to your classmates in teaching us what you discovered.

1. Write a story using at least two characters. Using a Venn Diagram, describe the similarities and differences between your characters. Make sure your setting, plot, problem, and solution are included within your story.
